Target Audience
Please plan to join us at the 2023-2024 Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Conference. The Georgia Department of Education will host a three-day conference at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia. The conference mission is Empowering Educators with Data, Privacy, and Security and will bring together district and state experts as well as other government agency partners to increase knowledge and promote collaboration among state, district, and school leaders. The conference aims to support positive outcomes for data practices and technology integration. Technology Services at the Georgia Department of Education works to connect what matters to Georgia’s education community.
The target audience includes any Georgia public school district or state education agency personnel (SEA, district and school level administrators, and support staff) responsible for technology integration, innovation, security, state, and federal reporting related to funding, accountability, or education program management is encouraged to attend the conference.
Conference Dates
August 22 - August 24, 2023 - Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Conference
August 21 - Special pre-conference training for district leaders:
- New Data Coordinators - Beginner's Bootcamp
- New Special Education Leadership - SELDA
- New Technology Leadership (CIO, CISO, CTO, Directors) - CIO Early Career Toolbox
Special pre-conference training option will be available for the roles listed above with less than three years of experience.
Registration ends August 04, 2023 or when capacity is met.
